Mexican Fiesta at Fiske Elementary

The Whitsons team at Lexington was commended for doing such a wonderful job supporting the celebration of the fourth grade’s end of year “Mexican Fiesta” at Fiske Elementary School. The team worked collaboratively with the Grade 4 Team to provide the fourth graders an authentic Mexican culture experience.

On Friday June 14th, the Whitsons team, commanded by Kevin Silvia and John Fratiello, took care of every detail of the celebration, including decorating the gym, serving the Mexican fare, ensuring everyone was having a great time, and even sharing Whitsons’ delicious guacamole recipe with parents!

According to Ms. Kim Michael, “The support of Lexington's food service team, Whitsons, and their enthusiasm for our cultural celebration of Mexico, truly made this culminating activity extra special and memorable.  We couldn't have been more pleased by the tremendous efforts and enthusiasm of the food service staff to plan, organize, and present an authentic lunch in support our Mexican celebration, and by the smiles on the students' faces, from the comments made by students, parents, and staff, and from the extraordinary number of Fiske families who participated, we feel the event was a huge success!”

We thank the Grade 4 Team for allowing us to help with their celebration. This was a great example of team effort! Muchas gracias!
