Whitsons School Nutrition survey gathered feedback from students, parents, and school faculty/staff at the Public Schools of Brookline from October 17 to November 14, 2018.

General Comments

                     Don't use processed food. Use real and healthy food. – Parent

                     The school lunches do not fill me up enough, and even if the cafeteria says you have to take fruits or vegetables I usually don't like their fruit or vegetable options. Also usually I don't like what they have for lunch. - Student

                     Food is extremely bland and I see that students re-choosing not to eat it – Teacher/Staff

                     It seems like so much focus has been on serving healthy foods that my children rarely buy lunch anymore. They say the food is bland and unappealing – Parent

                     Cook fresh food on sight. - Parent

                     I really appreciate all fresh veggies and fruit on the menu. There are certainly good choices, but I don't feel confident that my child will leave school having had a nutritious lunch if they buy it. – Parent
